Beginning on December 1, 2009 the monthly basic service fee for water increased from $6.39 per month to $24.16 per account. A Public Hearing was held 11/9/2009 where the Board of Trustees voted to change this fee. Update on future water service to IHGID through the proposed North Valley Water Line:
The IHGID Board of Trustees unanimously approved an Interlocking Agreement between IHGID and Douglas County at their January 20, 2010 Board Meeting. An Interlocking Agreement between IHGID and the Town of Minden was also approved . We anticipate construction to begin in early Summer 2010. IHGID is currently applying for funding of this project through the State of Nevada. We are also hoping to obtain grant funding. Grant funding may be available as the result of a recent Household Income Survey showed the median household income to be lower than our previous study which puts IHGID in the income range for funding.
