The average single family home uses about 70% to 80% of its water on outside irrigation during the summer months. In an effort to assist homeowners with methods of reducing outdoor water consumption, Carson Water Subconservancy District (CWSD) is offering residential irrigation surveys within the Carson River Watershed. Homeowners can receive guidance about efficient practices which help reduce usage and expense by implementing water conservation techniques.
